A Wealth of ChoicesYou have full control over what to build and where to place it within each city. You can choose to specialise each city according to your preferred gameplay style, or you can build a rounded, balanced city that performs all purposes equally well.
Cities automatically collect taxes from your population in the form of Gold, which is then used to pay your troops or mercenaries, or simply used for trade. You also have control over your city's taxation - allowing you to raise funds quickly to pay additional troops - at the expense of your citizen's productivity... When your city reaches a certain population size you can build settlers who will strike out to a location of your choice to build the next city in your empire! Building ListBarracks The barracks is where your troops live, breathe and sleep - when they're not out smiting your enemies! This is where you produce military units; create and change the composition of your armies; create, level up and resurrect commanders; and dispatch your armies out on their missions.
The higher the level of barracks, the faster your troops are produced. Blacksmith The fires of the Blacksmith's furnaces burn hot, pumped by sweating apprentices manning the bellows. The smith himself carefully crafts Swords and Chainmail for your city to use.
Each upgrade to the Blacksmith reduces the amount of time it takes to produce Swords and Chainmail by 4.5% per level. Book Binder An immensely skilled job, the highly paid bookbinder acts as both producer and scribe. He takes wood pulp, presses and dries it to produce a sheaf of documents that he binds into a book.
His apprentices are dispatched to the Library to take copies of some of the important knowledge and research generated in your city. Each upgrade to the Book Binder decreases the amount of time it takes to produce a book by 4.5% per level. Brewery The delicious smell of fermenting beer wafts out from the brewery. This building consumes wheat and wood to create barrels of beer to be consumed joyously in the tavern.
Upgrading the brewery reduces the time to produce Beer by 4% per level. Carpentry The Carpentry is where your skilled craftsmen take raw lumber and turn it into precisely measured and beautifully cut planks and beams.
Each upgrade to the Carpentry increases the total amount of wood produced hourly by 2% per level. City Wall The City Wall is a critical element of mounting a successful defence. Encompassing all the main buildings that form the heart of your thriving city, the City Wall provides defensive bonuses to all troops based at this location.
Each upgrade to the City Wall increases your city's defence bonus. Clay Pit Clay cutters cut under the loam to search for raw clay to turn into bricks.
The higher the level of clay pit the more clay it produces hourly. Common Ground The Common Ground is an ancestral right for your citizens to graze their cattle inside the city walls, producing livestock for your City's Saddlemakers and Tanners to turn into useful end products.
Each upgrade to the Common Ground decreases the time it takes to produce livestock by 4.5% per level. Consulate Your consulate is the hub of your city's diplomatic efforts. The consulate is where you conduct all your foreign relationships - creating and dispatching scouts, spies, saboteurs, assassins and envoys.
Each upgrade of the consulate decreases the amount of time it takes to produce a diplomatic unit. Farmyard Cities live or die by their food supply - a city that runs out of food will largely cease to function until the food supply is restored. Farmers work in the farmyard and produce food for your citizens and workers to eat.
The higher the level of Farmyard the more food it produces hourly. Fletcher The art of archery - bowmaking and fletching - is practiced by skilled craftsmen in this building, producing efficient weapons with which to equip your armies.
Each upgrade to the Fletcher decreases the amount of time to produce a bow unit by 4.5% per level. Flourmill Refining raw wheat into flour takes time and effort, but the fine results mean that food production in your city is increased substantially.
Each level of upgrade increases the amount of Food available in your city by 2% per level. Forge When your city is ready, a group of Blacksmiths band together and build a Forge. The Forge is the only building capable of producing Plate Steel armour for your most advanced military units to wear.
Each upgrade to the Forge reduces the time it takes to produce Plate Steel by 4.5% per level. Foundry The fires of the Foundry's forge burn hot, as raw iron ore is melted and refined into more useful forms for your citizens to work with.
Each upgrade to the Foundry increases the amount of Iron available hourly by 2% per level. Iron Mine Iron miners excavate the mountainside, searching for veins of iron ore.
The higher the level of iron mine the more iron it produces hourly. Kiln Skilled potters take clay and turn it into all kinds of useful products for your citizens to use - from jars to bricks. The increased efficiency of the Kiln means that your clay goes further.
Each upgrade to the Kiln increases the amount of clay produced hourly by 2% per level. Library A city stuck in the stone age is a city without a future. The library is where your academics work, producing research for you to harness into technological advancement - unlocking new buildings, units, upgrades and possible strategies.
The higher the level of library the more research points it produces hourly. Lumberjack Lumberjacks cut down timber from the forest and turn it into wood.
The higher the level of lumberjack the more wood it produces hourly. Mage Tower Keepers of Arcane knowledge live and work in the Mage Tower, preparing and maintaining the spells you direct them to cast at friends and foes alike.
Each upgrade of the Mage Tower increases the amount of Mana produced hourly. Marketplace The center of a city's trading network, the marketplace is where you buy, sell and barter your wares.
Each upgraded level of the Marketplace supports an addtional trade caravan - increasing your total trade capacity - and also allows you to build Caravans faster. Paddock Adjacent to the Common Ground, the Paddock is where your city's ranchers and breeders carefully raise the finest foals into mighty thoroughbreds.
Each upgrade to the Paddock decreases the amount of time it takes to produce Horses by 4.5% per level. Quarry Workers dig deep into the hillside, carving out large chunks of stone.
The higher the level of quarry the more stone it produce hourly. Saddlemaker The Saddlemaker produces all manner of riding tack with which to equip your city's horseriders - including military tack with which to protect the Horses' exposed flanks.
Each upgrade to the Saddlemaker reduces the amount of time it takes to produce a Saddle by 4.5% per level. Siege Workshop The most advanced military building available, the Siege Workshop takes large quantities of resources and knowledge and creates mighty Siege Engine construction blocks that you can use to build the massive weapons of war necessary for destroying or capturing an enemy city.
Each upgrade to the Siege Workshop decreases the amount of time it takes to produce Siege Blocks by 4.5% per level. Spearmaker Although the most basic item of weaponry available, making spears strong enough to penetrate armour and flesh is still a skilled task. Spearmakers produce spears for your armies.
Each upgrade to the Spearmaker decreases the amount of time it takes to produce a spear by 4.5% per level. Stonemason Carefully selecting only the best stones, your stonemasons chisel and sculpt raw stones into much more useful blocks for your city to use.
Each upgrade to the Stonemason increases the amount of stone available in your city by 2%. Storehouse The Storehouse is where all your resources are stockpiled for your city's use. Storehouses do not protect goods from theft however - for that you need a vault.
The higher the level of Storehouse, the more resources it can hold. Tannery Most citizens prefer to live upwind of the Tannery building, but even those who live nearby appreciate the suits of sturdy Leather armour curing in the open air.
Each upgrade to the Tannery decreases the time it takes to produce Leather armour by 4.5% per level. Tavern The tavern is often described as the lifeblood of a city. Citizens, entertainers and travellers from away lands congregate here to drink beer and swap outlandish stories of unimaginable bravery and unlikely victory in the face of overwhelming odds.
Upgrading the tavern increases the amount of time you have to complete a quest by 1% per level as well as increasing the speed at which new quests are offered to you by 3% per level. Vault The Vault provides some protection for resources in your city, keeping them secure from theft and raids by hostile diplomats and troops.
Each upgrade to the Vault increases the amount of resources protected. Warehouse The Warehouse is an upgraded version of the Storehouse, and works in tandem with it to stockpile your city's resources. Warehouses can hold significantly more goods than storehouses can, but equally they do cost a lot more to build.
Each upgrade to the Warehouse increases the maximum storage capacity of your city. |
